Too Many Little Kids!!!

   Oh my goodness.

The Harvest Party went pretty well...but there were so many little kids!!!  And too much candy!!!  I ate like nothing and its too bad I didn't save any for when would actually need some (like over a geometry test late at night).

My group was red and we managed a game called The Ping-Pong Toss in the Sea Creatures room.  Basically, you had to try and toss ping pong balls into little glass jars with ridged edges.  Apparently, it was not so basic as it looked.  THE GAME WAS SO RIGGED!!!  It was like impossible and the balls kept on bouncing off of the rims of the jars.  I couldn't do it.  Kendel couldn't do it.  Nick was like obsessing over the fact that he couldn't do it (he gave up after a while).  Then these little kids just came in and like got 2 or 3 in a row!  So yeah...the game was cool but the only disadvantage was that we had to go crawling between jars and seashells to pick up all the balls.  My knees started protesting after about 2 hours.  I feel so old, humpgrherfkdu.

Comments are appreciated :P

Two Seriously Cool Books

Hello everyone!
And now...to live up to my post title.

     Eh...eh...emmm.

Seriously Cool Book 1: THE BIBLE!!!

Last night I wasn't feeling well because I had eaten ice cream that afternoon, which triggered my milk allergy (oh, the price of having fun).  As a result, I wasn't able to go to church the next morning.  Nevertheless, I felt like I had to honor God on Sunday morning.  So I had an extensive Bible time.  I read Matthew 23-24, but focused more on chapter 24 because I think there was something God wanted to say to me.  Matthew 24 was about the signs of the END OF THE AGE and the COMING OF THE SON OF MAN.  In verses 5-12, Jesus tells us the signs of the end of the age.  He speaks of people who will say that they are the the Christ.  He speaks of wars, famines, earthquakes, hatred, betrayal, false prophets, and the love of many people becoming fake and cold.  After reading this, I thought...how different is this picture from the way the world lives now???  Personally, that was a very frightening question for me.  Then, in verses 29-31, Jesus talks about the coming of the Son of Man.  He says:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

Lastly, Jesus talks about how no one knows the day and hour of Jesus's coming.  We should live our lives as if Jesus is coming back this very moment!  Who knows?  The angels might blow their trumpets announcing Jesus's return before I finish writing this post!

     Seriously Cool Book 2: BRISINGR!!!

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILER...IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK...STOP RIGHT HERE AND DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER.

I just finished Brisingr this afternoon!!!  As I neared the last pages I thought about all that had happened.  Katrina was rescued and the Ra'zac are dead!  Happiness.  Sloan...I won't even go there.  Eragon and Saphira are really becoming something now.  I was impressed at the tremendous amount of growth in both dragon and Rider.  It was also very wise of Eragon to start acting like a man and stop day-dreaming about Arya.  Roran and Katrina got married!  Yay!  Roran is such a courageous guy (despite his crazy battle plans).  Orik and Hvedra got married, and Orik is now the new dwarf king!  Yay!  They're bound to bring some sense into that race of suspicious, cowardly, quarrelsome short-peeps.  Brom is Eragon's father???  Ha.  I should've guessed.  It was so obvious the whole time.  Now...the thing about dragon's heart of hearts was just a stroke of pure genius on the part of the author.  It's also JUST like Galbatorix to steal the souls of dragons and make them serve him!!! Grrrr!!!  Ok, I was like seriously freaking out when the insane magicians were about to bring a new Shade to life.  It was nice of Arya to save the day.  Glaedr and Oromis are DEAD!!!  No!!!  It's not fair...but Glaedr will live on :D

     Then...I reached the end of book...the end...the very end...and I saw...

HERE ENDS THE THIRD BOOK OF THE INHERITANCE CYCLE.  THE STORY WILL CONTINUE AND CONCLUDE IN BOOK FOUR.

I don't know about you guys but...I WASN'T TOLD ABOUT THIS!!!  A FOURTH BOOK.  Humph.  I knew they couldn't end such a fabulous story in 748 pages.

Suzuki Book 4!!!

Whoo hoo!!!  I started...like literally JUST STARTED...Suzuki Violin Book 4!!!  I am learning my first Concerto!  I'm so excited!  When I was younger, I played piano for two-and-a-half years before I started violin.  I have currently been playing violin for almost 2 years now and I love it!  Haha, I really look up to people who have been playing violin since they were 5, lolz.   Anyway, the violin is so incredibly awesome for a number of reasons:

1) It's portable, and the cases are really pretty :D

2) It can be manually tuned and develops your ear for music (which I personally view as an amazing skill)

3) You can be expressive while playing the violin in a way you can't on other instruments

On the other hand...my teacher just added a lot, and I mean a lot, of shifting into my already difficult etude peice.  Etude.  Etude.  ETUDE.  Sounds omninous doesn't it?  They are pretty annoying, but they build character!  Just like eating your vegetables or walking the dog in the rain builds character...but not in the same way.  Haha!  But my new Concerto balances things out.  Yep, well that's about the only REALLY awesome thing going on in my life right now (besides my obession with Jesus Christ) :D :D :D

I Am With You Always...

Hey guys,
Last night I learned something from my dad that really struck me.  We don't walk the Christian life alone!!!    God is ALWAYS with us and wants to help us.  Now...God is always with us?  That's like so obvious...and yet it isn't...  Our hearts are very deceitful and will jump at any chance to twist our vision of Jesus Christ.  Satan wants us to believe that we can run our lives and get through any trials by ourselves.  However, God gives us those trials to get us to trust in him!  It doesn't depend on us.  God is ALWAYS there and he wants to carry us! We just need to have faith :D
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.  And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.  And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Farther and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

IN DEBT???  JESUS SAVES!!!

Dead But Hyper

Hi everyone,
Today, I took the PSAT and it was fun.

Well, not really.  Before the test started, we discovered this spider in the girl's bathroom and we thought it was alive so we all like freaked out.  Then I collectimavated myself and whizzed through sections 1 and 2 on the test.  The critical reading was annoying and I skipped one or two problems in the math section because the level of geometry was just beyond me...humph.  Then we took a 5 minute break and went to use the bathroom again.  And saw the spider again.  And Carrie stepped on it.  Yay Carrie!!!  Then we slugged through section 3 (more critical reading), section 4 (more math), and section 5 (grammar).  The test wasn't as long as I'd thought it be but twas a bit nerve-wracking in the beginning.  Luckily God was with me and I knew he'd take care of me.  Yay God!!!

Now, as you might have guessed I wouldn't have written all this if I were brain dead from the PSAT.  Actually, I am brain dead....I'm brain dead and physically hyper.  I didn't even know that was possible!!!  But it is...so yeah.  Anyway I am hyper because we started an awesome move sequence in dance class to the song, BREAKDOWN by Group1crew.  Best song EVER :D

Then I went home and did homework (not surprising).  At about 9:30 pm, I made myself a bowl of popcorn, poured myself some juice, and settled down in my beanbag chair with Brisingr!!!  Yay!!!  Roran and Katrina are soooo sweet!  Eragon is improving (although he can be an idiot at times), Saphira is just awesome, Murtagh has issues, Thorn is non-awesome, Arya is a creature of incredible design, Nausada is dangerously clever, and Galbatorix...will epically fail very soon...I'm sure of it.  I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

I am also tired.
Pawz and Bee Happy!
And don't forget to comment!

Story Time!!!

Hello again everyone,

Today, I am feeling quite tired because every morning this week I woke up and my homework was there...waiting for me.  For some reason, I am unusually aware of my daily loads and I often dwell on the exhaustion that results from it.

As I was writing this post, I thought about the e-mail Carrie sent me about interpreting trials as God's sovereign plan for your life and I think I'm doing the exact opposite.  I'm trudging through my daily trials by myself in order to please God.  What God really wants is for me to trust that my trials are part of his sovereign plan and let Him carry me through.  Even with this realization, I find it hard to trust God and let Him carry me because my pride is so great.  Please pray that when I get weary of doing homework day after day, I would ask God for strength instead of depending on myself.  Thanks for sending that e-mail Carrie!  I really do not deserve such awesome friends :D  I love you sooo much!!! :D

     AND NOW...for the story...

About a month ago I was on the internet on Petfinder looking up adoptable dogs.  Anyway, I found these two absolutely adorable white, sheltie/border collie mixes named Dusty and Henry.  I fell in love with them instantly and decided to get more information about them.  Apparently they were brothers from a litter that had contracted parvovirus, of which they were the only survivors.  At 4 months of age, they were found by an animal shelter and nursed back to health.  The next day I called up Dusty and Henry's foster parents and discovered that Dusty had been adopted already.  That only left Henry, but I knew my mom would never allow me to adopt a third dog.  So with disappointment, I put Henry out of my mind and went on with my life.

Today, I was looking through my pictures and found one of Henry.  So I went on the internet determined to find the young puppy that I had wanted to adopt so badly.  Sadly, no links came up that matched a white, sheltie/border collie mix named Henry.  I looked and looked but couldn't find him.

Here's the picture I have of Henry:

Movie of the Month

Happy October Everyone!

Many Thanks to everyone who took a couple seconds out of their lives to vote on my poll.  Jaime Sullivan and Landon Carter ended up winning (I'm seriously not surprised and whoever has seen them shouldn't be surprised either).  For the people who didn't know who Jaime Sullivan and Landon Carter are.....they starred in "A Walk to Remember" based on the fantastic novel by Nicholas Sparks.

In "A Walk to Remember", Landon Carter (Shane West) was your typical teenager trying to have fun with his life before going off to college.  He was in a popular gang and was often threatened with being expelled from school if he didn't fix his behavior.

Jaime Sullivan (Mandy Moore) was the Christian daughter of a preacher, and a rejected person at school.

These two kidos just happened to end up together when Landon (who was sentenced to community service for drinking achohol)  needs help with his school-play lines.  Jaime agrees to help him and Landon's life is changed forever.

If you can look past the opening scene and couple instances of bad language, you will see an excellent movie that is definitely worth watching.

The ending will break your heart (guaranteed)!

Please, please, please comment!!!
(but if you've seen this movie, don't say anything that will spoil the ending for someone who hasn't seen it)
Thanks...more posts coming soon!
