No snow-castles this year. The snow is all slushy and icy. Even having a snowball fight with this kind of snow would be dangerous. Oh well.
Well, I'm behind in my math and have a lot of chemistry homework this week. My math test is due tomorrow and my chemistry test is also due tomorrow. I've done some math today and no chemistry so far, so I'm in quite an impossible pickle. HEEEEEEEEELPPPPP!!!!! Count on me not e-mailing or txting or anything until Tuesday night. And hopefully I won't die in the process...
I think this song from ACTS applies in this situation. It's called Impossible.
When life seems impossible
I LOVE that word impossible
It calls for a miracle
Wait on God...
Just wait on God...
When you're walking with the King
Turn that mountain to a sea
See the blind receive their sight
Watch the dead come back to life
When you're walking with the King
There's no impossibility
No power of hell nor scheme of man
Can ever stop his holy plan!
Adios!

A Snowy Birthday
I'm excited! I just turned 17 on January 19, 2012!!!!!!!!!!!! We're celebrating my birthday tomorrow because the week was simply too busy. My Aunt Shelly and Uncle Andrew always send me cards with the same phrase "We're happy you were born!" I do believe that Aunt Shelly is my favorite Aunt. She lives in Chicago, Illinois, yet her fashion sense concerning her niece in Maryland is astonishingly accurate. All the clothes she sends me fit perfectly and bring out the color of my eyes. The last one she shipped to me was a Christmas present. It was a quarter-length sleeved sweater with purple, gray, and white stripes. It fit beautifully and I wore it to career day. That was the day I volunteered, ok shyly volunteered, to be in a mock interview. Gotta be ready when I go interviewing for jobs in the spring. The thought of sitting in a chair and talking to a future employer for 5 minutes (which is the time span you have to impress them) is so close its almost intimidating. Anyway, the point is that I <3 you Aunt Shelly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last Wednesday, my mom took me to get my hair cut at Great Clips as a birthday present. For the stuff I wanted done, it was going to cost a lot. However, God in his perfect timing sent a very helpful coupon the day before that cut down the cost significantly. Thank you Lord for providing!!! Yesterday, I went to ACTS rehearsal and got comments from nearly everybody on how amazing my hair looked. I literally had NO IDEA. I was just so sick of long, straight hair that I just told her short and layered with bangs, and told her to do everything else she suggested. I guess "everything else" turned out pretty good! Pictures hopefully coming soon!
NEWS BROADCAST: It snowed today for the first time. Thank you Maryland, but you're a month late, lolz. Even though I'm not a big fan of snow, I hope it sticks. If it doesn't, we will have gone a whole year without any official snow. Still...that's not so bad either. No cold feet, no bad sledding experiences, no snowballs in your face. Now, if you know me, then you know that I over-think absolutely EVERYTHING, just like I'm doing right now. Please pray that I will leave these situations in God's hands and trust that He will work everything out for good :)
However, if we DO end up getting 3 feet of snow, there's a certain snow-castle that I was thinking about building in the front yard. Hopefully, it won't impede the mailman...

Tigerlily's Hair
The Lord God gave me long, beautiful, brown hair that grows very fast...almost too fast.
I don't think God would mind if I cut it, uh, and styled it. In fact, who knows? He might even like it. In any case, I'm going to cut my hair after the Peter Pan performance tomorrow. For Peter Pan, I am Tigerlily and have to have long hair. Otherwise, the braids would be impossible to put in and the feathers wouldn't work.
BTW - the performance is January 6, 2012 in the Edwards Room at 7:30pm. Admission is $1. Come and watch us! It's gonna be fun :)
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my hair. It's just that it takes way more than a pea sized amount of soap to wash it. A LOT more. Not to mention the amount of time I spend in the shower. It's kind of a pain. Brushing it too much and sweaters make my hair all static-eee. Believe me, long hair that is electrically charged makes it hard to handle because its going all over the place. So cut it I will. Here's some pictures of the style I think I want. I loooooove Emma Watson's hair and would really like a style like hers. On the other hand, she IS a Hollywood star. Hmmm.

This is my favorite picture of Emma Watson. I love this hair style. Not too short, not too long, and the side bangs are very cute. I like the way they go sideways across the forehead.
I picked this picture mainly the woman's side bangs behave like my hair. I have to be a little flexible because my hair has a mind of its own...literally. If I don't control it, it goes where it wants, and sometimes "where it wants" is a big pain.
I like the face frame here and the layered look appeals to me. I discovered Emma Watson and I have a very similar face structure. So any hair style that worked for her would probably work for me.
This picture is similar to the others, just not with such wavy hair. Side bangs and straight hair is my experimental option. Then again, I if want straight hair, I could always use my new curling iron.
MY GOAL FOR TOMORROW: Remember all my Peter Pan performance cues and walk out of the salon not looking ridiculous, haha. Also, go see Sherlock Holmes with the cast IN COSTUME, hehe I love my life :D
Wish me luck tomorrow!!!!!

2012 Is Here!!!
THE NEW YEAR CREPT UP ON ME! It's 2012!!!!!!!
I can't believe its ALREADY HERE!!! Pretty soon, I found myself, my siblings, and my cousins yelling out the open window of my brother's bedroom at approximately midnight exactly. At that moment, the cell phone lines probably almost went down from all the people txting each other HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! (including meeeee). After that we watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 just for kicks and because we felt like it. Anyway, before I surge ahead, let's take some time to look back...and remember...all the wonderful things...that we did...in 2011. HERE GOES!!!!!!!!
First of all, I really grew in my faith and my relationship with God this year. He really helped me grow in getting along with my siblings and not exploding in anger when they sin against me. He was constantly convicting me right and left about my lifestyle and the things that I chose to do in my free-time. That classic "you won't be able to miss it" line happened to me a lot. Daily God spoke to me and encouraged me to not neglect reading His Word. It never ceases to amaze me how patient He is with me, even when I fail him day after day. Yet in 2 Corinthians 12:9 says "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me., For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
As far as stuff I did this year, here is a general 12-month outline.
In January I performed in a group dance in the CLC lobby, went bowling at midnight, attended to Charlotte Halsey's 16th birthday party, went to March for Life, and hung out with friends at school and stuff. On the 17th, Amy Calderone died and I missed her forevermore. I Love you Amy Darling!!!!!!!! :)
In February I had my 16th birthday party!!!!! I also observed surgeries at the Germantown Vet Clinic, had video training sessions with Mr. Alden, went to see Tangled with my friends, and started the spring semesters of dog training and violin.
In March it snowed 4 feet, I began the CLC baptism class for youth, and spent an entire week shooting rehearsals and performances of the ever-popular Godspell!!!!!!! Video is Fun :)
In April I finished shooting the last three performances of Godspell on video. I also continued the Baptism Class, daydreamed of summer during class, played violin at Asbury, watched the Royal Wedding Live from London, performed with Mary Herceg in the Ensemble Competition, and served at the Jr/Sr Banquet.
In May I thought my dog, Sandy had cancer and waited three 3 nail-biting weeks before finding out it wasn't serious. I also went to Emily Clark's birthday party, blew my mind with the CLC Class called Science and Religion, performed in lots of spring violin concerts, and sat at home while my lucky brother cruised in the Bahamas. Jealous. MCI classes finally finished (I just barely made it out alive)!!!!!!!!!
In June, I attended my brother's official high-school graduation, went to drivers ed, painted a huge barn at the fairgrounds, served at summer celebration in the female 6-year-old division (cutest tiny Asian girls ever), tutored two neighborhood girls in math, attended the 10:31 Game Night, and trained dogs under the hot sun.
In July I aquired my learners permit!!!!!!!!! I can drive cars now mwhahahahaha. I also visited my cousins in Ohio and Michigan where I swam in Kensington Lake, kayaked across Silver Lake, explored islands, ate ice cream, and got my hair cut and styled (courtesy of Aunt June). I also met my other cousins in Pennsylvania and went to Aunt Maude's funeral. I went to Kiera's birthday party, did Local Missions, had summer violin lessons with Kikki Tso, organized 4-H parade meetings, and ran a Kids N' Dogs club meeting by myself. I also hung out with friends, partied at the Smith's house, and saw Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Extended Edition in theaters. Oh yeah.
In August I attended too many dog shows than I was ready for. I entered drawings, displays, and cakes in the Montgomery County Fair. On Sunday, I performed in the dog show with Sandy. On Monday night, I trekked around the Fairgrounds with my friends, listened to the Flower Hill String Band, cruised through venders, observed a pregnant cow, and ate my first funnel cake. That's awesomeness for ya! I also went to the Worthy Youth Retreat, attended the State Fair Dog Show, auditioned for orchestra, auditioned for ACTS and completed my three days of preliminary driving with my instructor, TJ Bryan.
In September school started. Yep. Chemistry, Algebra II, Acting, American Literature, Spanish III, etc. I also finished auditioning for ACTS, and began orchestra. Oh yeah, and about the drama...
In October, it wasn't cold yet because Maryland is Maryland. I had ACTS Callbacks, ACTS Rehearsals, school, and more school. Did I mention school??? I also attended prayer meetings, watched Oceans 11 at Alexis and Katie's house, took the PSAT, took the ASVAB, and served at the Harvest Party. On October 14, Liam broke the universal record for saddest puppy face. Haha, there goes all my plans, but seriously...I'm not surprised :D
In November I had more school, more ACTS rehearsals, more orchestra, more school, and more weird weather. I love Maryland. I watched Pirates of the Carribean (the first one) with Alexis and Katie at their house and called the Germantown Vet Clinic about a job for the umpteenth time. Also, my cousins from Michigan came to visit for Thanksgiving and I cut my hair again.
In December things were relaxed and I had no idea why. I had orchestra concerts, had end of semester parties at school, went to Amy Barnett's Christmas Hangout, dressed Jenna Fourney up in newspaper as Cindy Lou Hou, and it still didn't snow. In fact, it was roughly 60 degrees outside the whole time. I also had tons of ACTS rehearsals, stuffed shoeboxes for kids at Rancho3M, hung out with my friends, and had CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!! Then my cousins came over and we played video games, ate junk food, and watched movies until the New Year. Then I reformed and decided to go blogging.
Goodbye 2011!!!! Thank you for all the wonderful experiences!!!!!!!
On to 2012. Time to unleash my plan for world domination...

IN DEBT??? JESUS SAVES!!!!!!!!!!
Skip talking about Fall school because its totally boring.
Let's talk about Christmas and New Year's instead! It's been a very relaxing December...somehow. At church a week before Christmas, I saw my friends playing violin in the corner of the lobby. Apparently, I was supposed to be up there, but never got the e-mail. Argh. Oh well. I had already had too many orchestra concerts earlier in the month anyway. Also, Matt got baptized in the first service and I wouldn't have been able to go congratulate him if I was getting ready to perform in the lobby. Btw - I am sooooooooo excited for you Matt!!! Congrats on your baptism!
So for Christmas we camped out in Mary's room. At 4am in the morning I wasn't feeling well and had to get up and take medicine. I was seriously not going to let a rough night ruin my Christmas experience. I was feeling a little better in the morning and came down to open stockings and one present. When the parents FINALLY came down at 8am, we started on the bacon, pancakes, donuts, etc. THEN PRESENTS!!!!!!! I have to say, it was kind of hard to not feel well when your little sister is dumping presents on you. My fav HAD to be the Double Attachment Curling Iron. It had a curler and a straightener...and the handle was purple, my faaaaaaaavorite color!!!! Jr/Sr Banquet here I come.
My cousins, Peter and Elizabeth came over on Christmas day. They both just graduated from college and they are awesome. Elizabeth brought her brown Spring Spaniel named Sam (short for Samwise the Brave). Peter brought his hilariousness. We played video games, went to parks, and watched movies all night for the next week. Fun times yeah :)
P.S. - Hopefully I will get some pictures of my cousins up here, because photos are better than descriptions
